I tell you, many will come from the east and from the west and take their seats at the feast with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, 'in the kingdom of heaven,
People will come from east and west, from north and south, and take their seats at the feast in the kingdom of God.
Then they sang a new song: "You deserve to take the book and break its seals, because you have been slaughtered, and with your blood have bought men from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation,
I answered him, "You know, my lord." He said to me: "These are the people who are coming through the great persecution, who have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
because you know that you have not been ransomed with things that perish as silver or gold, from the futile way of living taught by your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without a blemish or a blot,
Blessed are those who wash their robes, so as to have a right to the tree of life and to enter the gates of the city.
I tell you, everyone who owns me before men the Son of Man will own before the angels of God;
Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will get into the kingdom of heaven, but only those who practice doing the will of my Father in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, was it not in your name that we prophesied, and in your name that we drove out demons, and in your name that we did many wonder-works?' And then I will say to them openly, 'I never knew you at all. Go away from me, you who practiced doing wrong.'
and as we have reflected the likeness of him who was made of dust, let us also reflect the likeness of the Man from heaven.
And all of us, with faces uncovered, because we continue to reflect like mirrors the splendor of the Lord, are being transformed into likeness to Him, from one degree of splendor to another, since it comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
He will so change the outward appearance of our lowly bodies that they will be like His glorious body, by the exertion of the power He has to subject everything to Himself.
Dearly beloved, we are now God's children, but what we are going to be has not been unveiled. We know that if it is unveiled, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.
It is through these that He has given us His precious and glorious promises, so that through them, after you have escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of evil desires, you may come to share in the divine nature.
Let everyone who has ears listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. I will give to him who conquers the privilege of eating the fruit of the tree of life that stands in the paradise of God."'"
I will give to him who conquers the privilege of taking his seat with me on my throne, just as I have conquered and taken my seat with my Father on His throne.
And they heard a loud voice from heaven say to them, "Come up here." And they went up to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies looked on as spectators.
and no person who continues to live and believe in me will ever die at all. Do you believe this?"
For the Lord Himself, at the summons sounded by the archangel's call and by God's trumpet, will come down from heaven, and first of all the dead in union with Christ will rise, then those of us who are still living will be caught up along with them on clouds in the air to meet the Lord, and so we shall be with the Lord forever.
Then I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "See! God's dwelling place is with men, and He will live with them,
And if I go and make it ready for you, I will come back and take you to be face to face with me, so that you may always be right where I am.
then those of us who are still living will be caught up along with them on clouds in the air to meet the Lord, and so we shall be with the Lord forever.
His master said to him 'Well done, my good and faithful slave, you have been faithful in the use of a small amount; I will put you in charge of a larger one. Come, share your master's joy!'
Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinful person who repents than over ninety-nine upright people who do not need any repentance.
"I have told you these things, that the joy which I have had may remain in you and that your joy may be complete.
For what is our hope or happiness or crown of boasting, except you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ when He comes? You, indeed, are our glory and our joy.
keeping our eyes on Jesus, the perfect leader and example of faith, who, instead of the joy which lay before Him, endured the cross with no regard for its shame, and since has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
This is a proof of God's righteous judgment, His aim being to let you show yourselves worthy of His kingdom, for which you are suffering; since, indeed, it is right for God to repay with crushing sorrows those who cause you these crushing sorrows, and to give rest to you who are being crushed with sorrows, along with us, at the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, with His mighty angels
For we who have believed are being admitted to that rest, just as He has said: "As in my anger I took oath, they shall not be admitted to my rest," although God's works had been completed at the creation of the world.
Then I heard a voice from heaven say, "Write: 'Blessed are the dead who from this time die as Christians.'" "Yes," says the Spirit, "let them rest from their toils, for the things they have done are going with them."
for after the resurrection men do not marry and women are not married, but continue to live together as the angels do in heaven.
For when people rise from the dead, men do not marry and women are not married, but continue to live together as the angels in heaven do.
but those who are considered worthy to attain that other world and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are married. For they cannot die again. They are like the angels, and since they are reborn in the resurrection, are children of God.
The city does not need the sun or moon to shine in it, for the glory of God has lighted it, and the Lamb is its lamp.
Then the upright will shine out like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Let him who has ears listen!
For this slight and momentary sorrow continues to accumulate for me a solid and eternal glory far beyond any comparison,
But you are the chosen race, the royal priesthood, the consecrated nation, the people to be His very own, to proclaim the perfections of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.
When Christ, who is our life, appears, you too will appear to be glorified in fellowship with Him.
Father, I want to have those whom you have given me right where I am, in order that they may see the glory which you have given me, because you loved me before the creation of the world.
and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the glorious crown that never fades.
For I consider all that we suffer in this present life is nothing to be compared with the glory which by-and-by is to be uncovered for us.
So, as a joint-elder with them, a witness of the suffering borne by Christ, and a sharer of the glory that is to be uncovered, I beg the elders among you,
